Greetings From Our President
Greetings and welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Epsilon Zeta Omega Chapter, proudly serving the Longview, Kilgore, Henderson, Gladewater, and Gilmer areas of East Texas, affectionately known as the Piney Woods, since 1949.
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the 2025–2026 President of this extraordinary chapter. Our administration’s theme, ForEVER EZO, is more than a statement—it’s a pledge to carry forward a legacy of Empowerment, Vision, Engagement, and Respect. These four pillars—EVER—represent the heart of who we are as members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and guide how we serve, lead, and uplift our communities.
We remain fully committed to implementing the 2022–2026 International Program Initiatives, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood,” under the leadership of our International President & CEO, Danette Anthony Reed. Through each of the Program Initiatives and the Strengthen Our Sisterhood platform, Epsilon Zeta Omega continues to provide impactful, purpose-driven programming that addresses the needs of those we serve.
Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Shawn E. Simmons, South Central Regional Director, we proudly support and advance regional priorities through innovative programming, sisterly engagement, and leadership development. Epsilon Zeta Omega is honored to represent the South Central Region with excellence and enthusiasm.
Locally, our service is anchored in the traditions that make EZO a cornerstone in the Piney Woods of East Texas. From our signature Annual Debutante Ball and scholarship awards to our HBCU initiatives, youth mentoring, health and wellness efforts, and economic development programs, our chapter remains deeply committed to delivering sustainable impact throughout our service area.
As we continue to honor our legacy and shape our future, I invite you to explore our site, engage with our programs, and partner with us in the spirit of ForEVER EZO—driven by Empowerment, Vision, Engagement, and Respect, and anchored in sisterhood and service.
With warm regards and sisterly love,
Dr. NaTasha Crain
President, Epsilon Zeta Omega Chapter
